AVC
Amazon Vendor Central is Amazon's first-party seller, invitation only wholesale program for brand-owning manufacturers and distributors.

Includes parent products and solo products.
Boolean
Typically used to trigger workflows and as a filter data point for lists and syndication, the yes/no property type only allows two choices, Yes and No.
Catalogs
Allow non-Salsify users with a link digital access to a branded online set of products and product content. Users with the link will only have access to the set of products, content and digital assets you include in the catalog. Any updates made to the catalog and its included products will be applied in real time. Catalogs can include customizable product content spreadsheet and digital asset exports.
Channel
Prepare, transform and publish products and digital assets associated with products. Workflow channels prepare product content to syndicate, readiness reports set up mappings to syndicate to partners like Walmart and Amazon, export custom product content with templated exports, and create digital asset transformations to meet syndication and internal data needs.
Content Refresh
Retailer process to add or change information for products they carry/have received product information for previously. May require information that's different from or in addition to the item setup process.
Digital Assets

Distribution Partner
Distribution partners are companies that receive product information through the syndication process in Salsify. It can include retailers, advertising platforms, ecommerce platforms, or any other entity that you syndicate product content to.

GDSN
The Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) is an internet-based, interconnected network of interoperable data pools and a global registry known as the GS1 Global Registry, that enables companies around the globe to exchange standardized and synchronized supply chain data with their trading partners using a standardized Global Product Classification.
GLN
Global Location Number (GLN) can be used by companies to identify their locations, giving them complete flexibility to identify any type or level of location required. GDSN uses GLN to identify data pool owners within the network.
GS1
GS1 is an international not-for-profit organization that maintains the only global system for bar coding and standardized identification of products, assets, services, places and organizations.
GTIN
Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) can be used by a company to uniquely identify all of its trade items. GS1 defines trade items as products or services that are priced, ordered or invoiced at any point in the supply chain.
Internal Readiness Report
An Internal Readiness Report is a Readiness Report based on your organization’s properties. Internal Readiness Reports allow you to analyze product readiness based on the properties you have in Salsify. It will show you, at a high level, your level of completion per property.

Organization ID
Unique identifier for the Salsify organization. Required in cases where a user is associated with multiple Salsify organizations. Can be found in the URL path of the Salsify app, after /orgs/ eg. in http://app.salsify.com/app/orgs/s-9999-9999 the org ID is s-9999-9999.
Parent Product
Base product with variants associated with it. Parent products contain properties that have common values across all variants. For example, Brand and marketing copy might be stored at the parent level, while color and size are commonly stored at the variant level. Parent/variant functionality is not enabled in all Salsify organizations.

Product information management system.
Product Identifiers
Unique IDs that allows Salsify to recognize whether new data should be attached to an existing product or, where the product ID isn't in the system yet, a new product should be created.
Properties
Customizable fields that store product information, digital asset information, and information about the properties themselves (metadata).
Property Groups
Organize properties on the product details page, and exportable in JSON format.
Publish
Deliver product content in a channel's format. The channel setup also determines method of delivery, which could be a download to the user's computer, delivery to another server via FTP, Dropbox or Box, or directly to a retailer. You will see the delivery method to confirm before the information is sent.
PXM
Product Experience Management targets delivery of the digital product experiences that consumers demand.
Readiness Report
Channel settings that create mappings between Salsify properties and retailer attributes for product syndication.

Refers to Walmart's Store Assortment Online initiative to enhance its customers' experiences both in stores and online. The SAO initiative aims to make information for products sold in Walmart stores accessible to consumers online, but not make products transactable online.
Sellable Product
Includes variant and solo products.
Simple List
A list of products or digital assets whose only commonality is they are on the same list. Products or digital assets can be added individually or in bulk, and the list only changes when updates are made manually. Click here for more information on simple list management.
Smart List
A list of products or digital assets built with filters, based on commonalities of properties, states, or list membership. List membership changes based on the filters applied.
Solo Product
Products that don't have any parent/variant associations.
Third-party Seller
A supplier that wholesales products to a retailer but is not the manufacturer of the product, or does not have a direct wholesale agreement with the retailer.
